About the salt
Where does Fürst Pückler Salt come from?
From borehole Hy Bad Muskau 1/2000 in Bad Muskau, Saxony, which taps a state-recognised healing brine 1.586 metres below ground. Boiling, harvesting and filling all happen on site. More on the healing spring.
Why are there no microplastics in it?
Because the brine comes from sealed rock and has had no contact with the surface since it formed. Microplastics reach the oceans via rivers and air; no such route leads 1.586 metres underground.
Does it contain iodine or fluoride?
No, we add neither. If you have been advised to take iodine, please discuss any change with your doctor – Germany is considered an iodine-deficient region.
Is the salt a remedy?
No. Our table salts are foods, the brines are care products for external use. "Healing brine" describes the origin from a state-recognised healing spring, not a healing effect.
Why does my salt clump?
Because it contains no anti-caking agent. Salt draws moisture from the air; without a separating agent the crystals cake together. Close the jar well and break them up with the spoon.
How long does it keep?
Pure boiled salt keeps virtually indefinitely if stored dry. For the seasoned salts the dried ingredients determine shelf life; the best-before date is on every label.
Are the products vegan?
Yes. The salts contain only mineral and plant ingredients. The mouth elixir is vegan as well.
Any allergens?
The Mustard seasoned salt contains mustard and is labelled accordingly. All details are on the individual product pages and on the label.

What does shipping cost?
4,90 € within Germany, free from an order value of 39,00 €. Details under shipping and payment.
How long does delivery take?
Usually 1 – 3 Werktage after payment, shipped with DHL.
How can I pay?
PayPal, credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payment is handled by Stripe; your payment details never reach us.
Why is no VAT shown on the prices?
Because we are a small business under § 19 of the German VAT Act and may not show VAT. The price displayed is the final price.
Do you ship outside Germany?
Not through the shop at present. For Austria, Switzerland or Poland please write to us and we will quote the postage.
Can I collect in Bad Muskau?
Yes, by arrangement. We have no permanently staffed shop counter, so please get in touch first on +49 178 5988333.
Can I return something?
Unopened goods yes, within fourteen days. Opened food and care products are excluded from the right of withdrawal for hygiene reasons. Details under right of withdrawal.
